Seit kurzem ist unsere Webseite FABLAB-BERLIN.ORG online! Wir sind eine offene Digital Fabrication Werkstatt, in der man den Umgang mit 3D-Drucker, Lasercutter, CNC Fräse, Software und Elektronik lernen kann.

Wir befinden uns zur Zeit im Aufbau, öffnen aber ab dem 12. März jeden Dienstagabend ab 18.30 Uhr die Türen für alle Interessierten!

Unser Ziel ist es, ein zentraler Knotenpunkt im Berliner Maker- Netzwerk werden. Und dafür brauchen wir Deine Unterstützung!

Wir suchen nach Mitgliedern, die bei uns Workshops anbieten möchten oder an Aufbau und Leitung unseres Labors mitarbeiten wollen. Wir suchen nach Partnerfirmen, die uns dabei unterstützen, Open Lab Tage für die Berliner Maker- Community anzubieten. Und wir suchen zur noch einen Vollzeit- Mitgründer für die Bereiche Wirtschaft / Marketing und Programmieren / Elektronik.

Am 20. Oktober 2012 findet das erste Hamburger Maker-Treffen statt. Auch Fritzing ist natürlich am Start und bietet einen Arduino-Anfänger-Workshop. In drei Stunden könnte Ihr lernen, wie Arduino programmiert und benutzt wird. Darüber hinaus wird es möglich sein, ein Platinenlayout CNC-Fräsen zu lassen. »Das Hamburger Maker-Treffen bietet eine Plattform für den kreativen, spielerischen und lustvollen Umgang mit Materialien, Techniken und Technik und hat als Kern den Gedanken des Selbermachens und Gestaltens und des Entdeckens von Neuem.« Es wird im Makerspace Attraktor in Hamburg statt finden. The first Maker-Treffen in Hamburg will take place on 20. October 2012. Fritzing will be there, too, and offer a workshop for Arduino-Beginners. In three hours you can learn how to use the Arduino. Afterwards you can print your PCB-Layout on a CNC machine.

The Maker-Treffen offers a platform for the creative, playful and joyful use of materials and technologies. The main thought is to create, design and explore the new.

It will take place at the Makespace Attraktor in Hamburg (Germany). Here you can find the event program.

Wednesday we gave a workshop in 3D printing. André gave an overview of the existing solutions of the rapid prototyping process like CNC milling machines, laser cutters and 3D printers. We talked about Fablabs around the planet and we tried out our new Ultimaker. It was a very nice evening with very interesting guests, Beer and Pizza.

Btw: That was the last advanced workshop from us. We are going to switch that concept from advanced workshop to project guidance or project help. The idea is, that you can bring your projects and questions and we solve it with you.

The Arduino Newbee Workshop will still be on every second wednesday evening in month.

This year, we were invited again by our dear friend Martin Hieronymus to teach the basics of Arduino and Physical Computing at the Nordakademie in Elmshorn near Hamburg.

The weekend workshop as usual started with the basics: Digital Out and In, Analog Out and In and serial communication. In the afternoon, we showed them how to make PCBs with Fritzing. On the second day, the students got together in teams and had to work on a set of topics: music, environment, home, alarm clocks, toys, social network or car. At the end of the day, each group had a fully working prototype ready to present.

One group for example invented a game in which players have to jump to a randomly selected place to hit a button - or have to be the second to do so. Another group came up with a beer mat, which monitors not only if the beer gets empty, but also if it becomes to warm.

It was interesting to see how different groups handle tasks in different ways. Find the pictures in our Flickr-Pool.

Since March, we have been giving Arduino Beginner Workshops here at the Fritzing HQ in Berlin Mitte. In two weeks, we will have the first “Arduino etc. Advanced Workshop”. We are very excited and happy to have the opportunity to go a step further.
