Am 20. Oktober 2012 findet das erste Hamburger Maker-Treffen statt. Auch Fritzing ist natürlich am Start und bietet einen Arduino-Anfänger-Workshop. In drei Stunden könnte Ihr lernen, wie Arduino programmiert und benutzt wird. Darüber hinaus wird es möglich sein, ein Platinenlayout CNC-Fräsen zu lassen. »Das Hamburger Maker-Treffen bietet eine Plattform für den kreativen, spielerischen und lustvollen Umgang mit Materialien, Techniken und Technik und hat als Kern den Gedanken des Selbermachens und Gestaltens und des Entdeckens von Neuem.« Es wird im Makerspace Attraktor in Hamburg statt finden. The first Maker-Treffen in Hamburg will take place on 20. October 2012. Fritzing will be there, too, and offer a workshop for Arduino-Beginners. In three hours you can learn how to use the Arduino. Afterwards you can print your PCB-Layout on a CNC machine.

The Maker-Treffen offers a platform for the creative, playful and joyful use of materials and technologies. The main thought is to create, design and explore the new.

Wednesday we gave a workshop in 3D printing. André gave an overview of the existing solutions of the rapid prototyping process like CNC milling machines, laser cutters and 3D printers. We talked about Fablabs around the planet and we tried out our new Ultimaker. It was a very nice evening with very interesting guests, Beer and Pizza.

Btw: That was the last advanced workshop from us. We are going to switch that concept from advanced workshop to project guidance or project help. The idea is, that you can bring your projects and questions and we solve it with you.

The Arduino Newbee Workshop will still be on every second wednesday evening in month.

Not so long ago, this was what we heard when we talked about our dream of creating a closed loop from breadboard to product with Fritzing.

One year ago that dream came true when we launched our Fritzing Fab service. In a three-week cycle we collected the sketches from you, arranged them on a panel and sent them to our factory in Berlin. The first round consisted of 12 different PCBs from 9 users.

Today we are receiving so many orders that we are delighted to announce our new one-week production cycle! From now on we will send your orders to the factory to produce your layouts every week! Thank you very much for enthusiastically using our service!

No, not the one supplying the ISS but one which supplies the fantasy and dreams of children here in Berlin – but step by step.

This spring, Robert came to us to buy a Fritzing Starter Kit. I asked him what he is up to do with it and he told me that he plans to build a space simulator here at the FEZ in Berlin.

The FEZ is a center for children to explore, play and interact. The people there own a soyuz capsule which should become more interactive. Wow! What a task.

Now he emailed the first pictures. He created a simulator where children have to prepare the space ship for the flight, find the international space station and perform the docking procedure.

Robert used Fritzing to layout all the PCBs! The final version consists of the two monitors, two Arduino Megas, 26 buttons, 38 signal lights and two joysticks. The simulator software is written in C#.

Für unser Projekt „Fritzing“ suchen wir eine Person, die im Amerikanischen vielleicht „Chief Operating Officer (COO)“ genannt werden würde:

Du sollst vor allem den Shop und die Produktion (im Moment die Bestückung unserer Kits) managen, Fritzing-Fab organisieren, das Controlling des gesamten Fritzing-Abenteuers übernehmen und natürlich gemeinsam mit dem Team das Projekt weiterentwickeln.  Daneben sollst Du die Buchhaltung in enger Zusammenarbeit mit dem Steuerberater vorbereiten.

Wir planen außerdem einige neue Formen der Zusammenarbeit mit unseren Nutzern, wie beispielsweise Mitgliedschaften oder Spenden – auch hierfür sollst Du den administrativen Hut aufhaben.

Da Fritzing ein deutsches Abenteuer ist, suchen wir jemanden, der sich mit deutscher Buchhaltung auskennt, aber dennoch in Geiste international ist! Die meisten unserer Nutzer leben nicht in Deutschland leben (hauptsächlich USA); daher wäre es wichtig, dass Du gut Englisch kannst.

Da Fritzing rechtlich als Verein aufgestellt ist, wäre es nicht schlecht, wenn Du etwas Erfahrung mit Vereinsrecht hättest. Ist aber nicht so wichtig…!
